꩜ About
Care labels tell part of a garment's story: where it was born, what it's made of, and how to make it last. But they never tell the whole story, and they never tell you how it ends. Each mini-quilt in Pre-loved 100 is a physical epitaph, commemorating a garment's life in fabric, from the factory floor to my hands.
For 100 days, I gathered garments retired from use — t-shirts, silk blouses, jeans, and children's clothes — took them apart, and sewed them into three-inch mini-quilts. I kept each care label intact, tracked where every garment was made, and wrote a fictional story about its past life.
